About Us

Louis Warren III began Warren Electric Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky in the mid 1980s with his younger sister, Becky, doing electrical work for friends and family along with other small jobs. In the early ’90s they moved into their first shop on Payne St. with 5–6 employees focused mostly on residential work.

Throughout the years the Warren Electric family has faced its troubles such as various illnesses and the loss of loved ones, including Louie’s son Jamie, but throughout it all executing whatever necessary in order to preside over the company. When sudden health problems rendered Louis unable, Scott used all resources available to him in order to maintain the reputation and success of the growing business. This perseverance-based thinking is a testament to the company’s philosophy. This is seen especially in key advice given from Louis to Scott when he first began at the company when he was 18 years old, which is still passed on to our 40+ valued employees in the company today;

“I can teach you how to do this job, and that’s one thing no one can take away from you.”
